UPDATED ST. PATRICKS DAY BREAK -
St. Patrick’s Green Party Weekend: We will be having a green day to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on Friday 13th March and the children are invited to dress in green outfits.  The Nursery will be closed on Monday 16th, Tuesday 17th March & NOW ALSO WEDNESDAY 18th MARCH TO ALLOW US TO USE ONE OF THE TWO EXTRA SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT DAYS ISSUED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION.

The children have been settling back into school and we have been learning that we have not only a new month called January but also a new year - 2026!  They were all so glad to see their friends and also share all the exciting news about their Christmas holiday. 

If you are out and about look out for signs of Winter - their breath when outside in the cold air when wrapped up warm for a lovely walk, maybe the frost on the car window, leaving out food for the birds in the cold weather or pieces of ice if you leave out a shallow tray with some artic animals over night.  Don't forget to share photos via conventofmercyns@outlook.com so we can print them out for the children to share their observations and adventures with their friends.
