Planting Sunflower Flower Seeds & Replanting the beans in Folly Garden

30th Apr 2026

Over the next few weeks we will be transferring the seedlings we planted before Easter to Folly Garden & then caring for them with regular watering. We hope the beans and rhubarb will be ready to share by the end of May.  Take a look at the blossom on the apple trees as this part of the life cycle of an apple tree & hopefully in a few weeks we will see apples starting to grow.

We also planted sunflower seeds this week and we will be sending them home in a few weeks so when the sun is shining try to identify a sun spot which is sheltered from the wind for you to plant when they come home.

The children have been talking about how they are helping at home to care for plants or the garden so please don't forget to share your photos via conventofmercyns@outlook.com
