UPDATED ST. PATRICKS DAY BREAK -
St. Patrick’s Green Party Weekend: We will be having a green day to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on Friday 13th March and the children are invited to dress in green outfits.  The Nursery will be closed on Monday 16th, Tuesday 17th March & NOW ALSO WEDNESDAY 18th MARCH TO ALLOW US TO USE ONE OF THE TWO EXTRA SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT DAYS ISSUED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION.

Our butterflies have arrived!

Over the last few days our butterflies have been arriving, we have been carefully watching them roll out their tongues to take a drink of the sugar water and to fly around the enclosure.  We could look at the patterns on their wings  - the wings are matching with symmetry. This means both wings are exactly the same.  

Today Miss Donoghue’s class carefully held their butterflies in their hands and then watched them fly away.  Mrs McCoy class is waiting for one more butterfly to arrive and hopes to release them tomorrow.

The butterflies we had are called Painted Ladies.
