Nurse Sandra & her assistant Grace
We had a very interesting morning as Grace's mummy Sandra who is a nurse came to tell us about her job. She showed us her uniform and explained how she could helped care for the boys & girls. Sandra showed us how she would use a thermometer or stethoscope to check our temperature or listen to our heart or breathing. We talked about the importance of eating healthy foods & drinking milk to make our bodies strong and although sometimes we don't like the taste of medicines we need them to help fight of germs.
The boys & girls shared their stories of visiting the nurse or the hospital & it was good to know that we would have kind people caring for us. Nurse Sandra also helped us understand our feelings as sometimes we can be sad or upset yet if we tell a friend or a grown up we can all help each other. Then Nurse Sandra and her assistant Grace dealt with a few injuries and ensured everyone was feeling better.
Thanks you Nurse Sandra and Grace!
