St. Patrick’s Green Party Weekend: We will be having a green day to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on Friday 13th March and the children are invited to dress in green outfits.  The Nursery will be closed on Monday 16th, Tuesday 17th March & NOW ALSO WEDNESDAY 18th MARCH TO ALLOW US TO USE ONE OF THE TWO EXTRA SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT DAYS ISSUED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION.

There is much excitement building within the school as the children look forward to Christmas and the special events we have planned for them. Like so many, we will begin our Christmas countdown in school with our Advent calendar. Advent is when we talk about our preparations to celebrate the birth of the baby Jesus on Christmas day.

This year we are going to have a Kris Kringle Card Swap! On 1st December your child will take home the name of one of his/her peers and we ask that you and your little one say a prayer for their friend and their family each night during Advent.

During the Advent season we ask that you and your child make a card for their friend. It can be a craft card, a card that has been drawn or a shop-bought card with a picture inside. We ask that cards are returned to school by Tuesday 16th December when we will help the children to swap them; please ensure all cards are returned by this date so that everyone has an envelope to take home. This is a card-only exchange, thank you.
